Welcome to the website of the 56th annual conference of the Genetics Society of Australasia!

The 2009 conference of the GSA will be held in Brisbane, Australia. The meeting will begin with a welcome reception on the evening of Tuesday, July 7 and continue with three full days of symposia and concurrent sessions on July 8-10. The conference venue is the University of Queensland situated in St. Lucia a few kilometers from the city centre, with a night of fine dining at heritage-listed Customs House in the city on the evening of July 9 (banquet tickets can be purchased when registering).

Early registration and abstract submission deadline: 1 June 2009.

Welcoming Reception
The welcoming reception will take place in the foyer of the Art Museum of the University of Queensland on Tuesday, 7 July 2008, 7-9 PM. The registration desk will be open during this time and each morning during the conference. Click here for more conference event details.

Student Travel Awards
Third-year undergraduate students may apply for a travel award to attend the conference (closing date: 4th of May 2009).
